MY STORY
A journey towards health
Battling years of chronic illness led me on a roller-coaster of a journey, exploring all types of healing modalities. It wasn’t until I discovered the connection between the mind and the body and understood emotional dysregulation to be the underlying cause of my physical health issues that my symptoms began to ease.
My work has consistently reflected my healing—the challenges I’ve faced, my own journey of recovery, and observations and insights that I’ve gleaned along the way.
The evolution of my work
Most people reading this will know me as Breathe With James. I created a successful breathwork business and launched a breathwork app, but then I realised I wanted my work to expand and incorporate wider nervous system health too.
As powerful as the breath is, it’s important to recognise that it is as aspect of nervous system health, not the entirety.
I spend most of my time teaching (and continually improving) my courses, Breathwork Mastery and Soma Rising, as well as seeing 1:1 clients.
I am also halfway through a Master’s in Jungian psychology, some of which I’m starting to weave into my work.

BREATHE WITH JAMES
Enter a place to calm your senses
My breathwork app (and first significant creation!) is filled with breathwork practices designed to down-regulate your nervous system and move you into a more relaxed and settled state.
There is also a ‘Learn’ section where you can learn about breathwork and nervous system science.
My 1:1 work has a predominantly somatic orientation. I support people in establishing a sense of safety and stabilisation in their nervous systems and, from there, building emotional resilience.
